The aim of the course Basic Business Principles is to introduce key principles of business. The course chronologically covers all phases of business, starting with the business plan and establishment, through the management of individual areas, to marketing and factors for success in the market. Although the course is designed as a "basic" course, students will learn about the latest trends in these areas. The course is designed to allow plenty of room for teamwork, critical thinking, and creative thinking.
- Business plan: use of Lean Canvas template, legal issues, financial matters, market environment and competition analysis.
- Business strategies: market position, expansion strategies, global strategies. Factors of success and failure, case studies. Reasons for crises and how to overcome them.
- Human resources: recruitment, onboarding, talent management. Idea management and employee engagement. Personnel marketing.
- Customer acquisition and retention: customer acquisition methods, sales funnel, loyalty programs. Specifics of online and offline environments. Improving customer experience.
- Modern forms of marketing: customization, inbound marketing, real-time bidding, omnichannel approach, use of AI in marketing
- Business trends: emerging opportunities, characteristics of the new generation, growth of technological possibilities, predictions and expectations for future possibilities.
