A need for changes in social organisation, economic conditions and relation to the environment or the so-called 'third world'.
During the course New paradigms in politics, economics and culture, participants will be introduced to various forms of alternative economics such as aging money, the interest-free economy, basic income, etc., as well as some of the examples of their application in practice.
The next part of the course will be devoted to political arrangements and systems of governance. Today's forms of representative parliamentary democracy based on party rule may seem outdated for the 21st century. But is there a viable alternative? One alternative appears to be direct democracy. We will explore what form of direct democracy might be better than today's system, and what, on the contrary, might lead to even greater decline.
